Should all people who voted for Obama thank conservatives ranting here?

Actions speak much louder than wordsShould all people who voted for Obama thank conservatives ranting here?
Right-wingers and the even more extreme edges of conservatism (which include domestic terrorists) do tend to shoot themselves in the foot more often than not, don't they...lol? Or get hoisted on their own petards.

Seriously, though, many American of either party have been hungry for a hero---most of us since the day President Kennedy was shot and killed. There is very strong skepticism and cynicism among voters tired of the bickering, the ';do-nothing'; representation, the influence of lobbyists or political cronyism... Some of the angry outbursts we hear or see on venues such as Yahoo! Answers are, in my opinion, an unwinding of long-repressed frustrations, fears, and furies---the final eruption before we allow ourselves to trust again. Bill Clinton could have been our hero---he saved our economy after the savings and loan collapse under Bush/Quayle, but he failed to rise up and roar ';None of your business'; or ';back off'; and instead opted to lie to us about something that didn't matter---he didn't trust us to love him; Reagan could have been a hero for some (his propaganda team certainly portrayed him in heroic terms), but many realized he was a figurehead with alzheimers who was loved, but not heroic, and his ';trickle down'; deregulated policies were a scam that led to disaster (as now)...

Barack Obama's message of unity and reconciliation is what changed my vote from Hillary to him. His brilliance and his calm demeanor even under vicious attack solidified my support. A lot of people across this country are afraid of letting themselves trust, as we did Bill Clinton (who was a really good--almost great---president, but the lie broke our trust and our hearts). I believe that this man, this ';mutt'; (as he calls himself) of ethnicity with his charisma, his integrity, his brilliance, his compassion, and his amazing ability to unite is a Godsend (and I mean that literally) that is absolutely perfect for these troubled times. He is a healer, a wise and kind leader willing to work for ALL Americans whether they voted for him or not, whether they agree with him or not. Once the more centrist of the GOP realize he is NOT out to discredit or trick them, he is willing to give them or their party credit where credit is due, he is not egomaniacal (as was his predecessor), he is FAIR and serves ALL Americans, just as a President should do, maybe some of the negativity will diminish and we can join forces for the good of this nation...

I enjoy the verbal sword play on this site, but what if....

WHAT IF people actually listen to this potentially great man's words and push hard to comprehend their significance and meaning.

WHAT IF ardent opponents offer constructive input to help our new President mend our broken fences at home and around the world.

WHAT IF we unite as a nation once more and dare to trust again.

WHAT IF we accept Aristotle's ';rational moderation'; as our guide and accept that we each have rights so long as those rights do not infringe upon the rights of others.

...

I see a brighter future for America and hope for world peace under this Godsend of a man who is our nation's leader. Why don't we all come together to help him help us, just as you would if your version of Christ or God or Allah or Yahweh ... was the one asking.Should all people who voted for Obama thank conservatives ranting here?
Let's see.

More spending in less than 4 months than all former presidents combined (you libs blasted Bush for spending)

N. Korea testing nukes and taking hostages.

(you libs screamed diplomacy worked)

Obama pushing for ';preventative detention'; which is almost exactly like holding prisoners in GITMO without a trial, but can also include American citizens...so for Obama it is okay???

Everything that Obama promised his economic stimulus to do is not working and/or is a bold lie (like that it was mostly for ';shovel ready'; projects when only 8% of the money fits that category)

Tell me, what do you consider that he has done well?

kathleen...you could not be more off base. The moderates voted for McCain. Many true conservatives stayed home. That is why Obama won. McCain was too liberal.

Think about it....I would love to hear what you think that Obama has done right and why. Rather than blindly following him, give an example of what he has done right. I would also like to see you look up ';preventive detention'; and hear why the left is not up in arms over this one.

Prospero....you might want to read the book ';Who Really Cares';. Those radical 15% are the most giving in America of both money and of time. By the way, self-professed liberals are the least giving of both time and money.

Armchair...here is a great WHAT IF for you.

WHAT IF...liberals stop blindly following Obama's words and looking at his voting record, and his actions. The answer would be that there would be a huge push to shut down his destructive policies. If Obama succeeds, America suffers.
Agreed, though I didn't vote for President Obama.

It is also a matter of leadership or lack thereof, a strong campaign, and lack of education on the part of the American people (not a slur at President Obama, as they might not have voted any differently, for all I know, but it is a major factor, as a lot of people simply didn't have the first idea what they were voting for).

Democracy belongs to those who use it.

Patriots for the USA! (Sorry, some of us aren't into political bigotry and put our country first, regardless, such as this here democrat, me).
I'm amused by some of the rantings by the uber right. They remind me of spoiled three year olds throwing tantrums. They are the branch of the party that will produce substandard candidates that moderates won't vote for, so thank you to the radical right.
It is the crazies on the right, the 15% of the population that nobody else can agree with, the non-compassionate, the selfish, that helped Obama get elected by easily vying for the middle in America.
Did you not vote? How do you know they didn't vote?

Weren't the end results (when you disregard ';winning states'; and such) only 53% of votes from the people for Obama? It was REALLY close; Americans were split!

If you want to praise Obama, why not praise something he's done rather than who he is.
I thank them for giving me something to laugh at while I'm at work. When I'm bored at work (like now), I either go to comedy central.com and read their jokes, or here for Republican anti-Obama hate speech, blind-patriotism, Bible-thumping and fear-mongering. Both are HILARIOUS
oh you are very welcome and the thing you are calling democracy such a laugh. and no thanks I don;t think i will be anticipating in the blantant communist thing you are passing off as democracy it;s all yours hon. enjoy it.
I thank them for breaking out into obvious and frantic fear-mongering. It made rational voters realize what the Republican party has dissolved to.
No, they should look at their real motives for this country and try to figure out how we can nationalize health care when we can't even nationalize retirement correctly.
I guess....I mean any moderate who spends ten minutes on this website is going to run to the Democrats side. The right is just nuts.
The only ranting here is done by liberals. They ask a stupid question they get a stupid answer.
Yes, I do believe they helped immensely

Nothing like a bunch of radicals to turn people off.
I did not vote for him. I do not like him at all he is a bad president
Be proud of boy blunder while he last one term goes fast.
Wait until your teamsters job is right up there with the UAW jobs.....

Oh that's right, they're jobless!
Ok,enjoy his one term.
