What the DNC doesn't seem to fathom is that he panders to them as much as he does to his constituency. He plays the ';good ol' boy,'; game, so they think they own him, but once he gets into office, he is not going to be as malleable as they have presumed. In fact, he will be embittered and entirely disinterested in doing the bidding of Pelosi and Reid after this whole coming-of-age process. They will be left in their oh-so-very-Caucasian lurch.
