Spiritually Pulling-out-my-hair, why can't we use the 'details' feature without someone calling it a rant?

Everytime I post a question, I like to add details to further explain my question and throw out a little facts for people read and know BEFORE they answer.

Problem is, none of us can do that anymore without some IDIOT coming in here and looking down their sanctimonious nose and accusing it of being a rant. Makes them feel powerful? Is that it?

Won't be surprise if some IDIOT does the same with this LEGIT question. Pathetic.Spiritually Pulling-out-my-hair, why can't we use the 'details' feature without someone calling it a rant?
Well you have to understand that for every person that likes you here, someone hates you. Not only are they going to insult you on your question, but they're going to report it, too.

It's the Tao of YA.Spiritually Pulling-out-my-hair, why can't we use the 'details' feature without someone calling it a rant?
It's because they want to take a cheap ******* shot at you because they have nothing with substance to say.

Edit: Kind of like how they give thumbs down to clearly true statements. Whether you are or are not ';ranting'; is inconsequential if it pertains to the answers given to your question and/or the question itself.

Edit 2: Who cares if you ';rant?'; ';Rant'; is a new catch-word that stupid teenagers use as a ******* excuse to talk nonstop about themselves, which is not in the least what you were doing.
No offense, but this itself is a rant.

But hey, why bother getting offended? I feel thrilled when people accuse ME of ranting.

Its just that nowadays we are using this section just to put some point across rather than seriously trying to learn something.

Test yourself... aren't you just putting a point across with this question?

I do it all the time.
Lets not call people names.. .we dont need to do that...

I totally agree with you. Most of the time there is no reason to report a question. Just because we have differences of opinion, that doesnt make it a rant.....and actually, who cares if someone rants.

The only thing that I would find worth reporting is racism and serious vulgar language.....%26gt;
You can add more detail without it being a rant. But when your question is asked in a loaded way and your additonal details section is used purely to spout your opinion...it is a rant.

Edit: Here's a question I asked a few weeks back. it's closed now, but my additional details are there solely to give some context to the question.

Well....this is definetly a rant about someone calling your details in a previous question a rant. Had you not added any details to this one it wouldn't be a rant, because the question is self-explanatory.
Depending on the rant, I love it, not because of chaos, but because it's really how people feel when they aren't wasting time with some types of political correctness
those with no argument make personal attacks like that it's rant, lies about intolerance and even insulting the avatar when it's a photo of you
To most fundies, a few well-written paragraphs of non copy and pasted text is a rant.
since the average attention span in R%26amp;S is 5 seconds anything above that is reported as a a rant
I can understand where you're coming from, it's true. But it's a bit silly to be ranting about ranting.
I only report the shoe sales ads that have been popping up from time to time... or the people who just pop in to post really racist crap.
A rant is when you ask a question you already know the answer to.

This is not a legit question btw just saying
STOP RANTING!
I love rants, as long as they are creative.
rant. lol
because it is calling people out and ranting.
