How does Revelation get credit for being anything other than a prolonged, ranting hallucination?

I guess one man's hallucination is another man's prophetic vision...lol

Where you been??? (((babe)))How does Revelation get credit for being anything other than a prolonged, ranting hallucination?
I've never understood how Revelation was included in the canon when other books that certainly weren't as ';out there'; were tossed out. I think it had more to do with the idea of the early church leaders that Yeshua was on his way fairly soon, and that things were going to play out pretty much like St. John wrote it. Though Yeshua having a sword for a tongue was probably going to be a little upset by that.

Hi Babe! How does Revelation get credit for being anything other than a prolonged, ranting hallucination?
John's message in Revelation is twofold.

1. He is giving us an idea of how members of new Jerusalem (Christians) can live amongst fallen Babylon (those who accept the mark of the beast).

2. No matter what you may do or how long you resist God's grace, if you just accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior you will be saved.

Revelation is not a book of gloom and doom for Christians. It is a book of hope and joy for the future as God moves his Kingdom from the heavens to be among his children.
The hallucination was perpetually prolonged by those subjugating raving ranters with hidden goat-herding agenda....as for credit...meh...I wouldn't give it such.

Yer back!

The same way prolonged, ranting jibberish gets credit for being called ';speaking in tongues.';

HINT: The majority of mankind is stupid and brainwashed.
John was a pretty reliable guy, not given to hallucinations.
In absolutely no way ...
I guess it made some people feel good.
It lucked out by being put into a ';holy'; book.
I don't know.
