Did the choosing of Palin and her subsequent lying and ranting kill the credibility of the Republicans forever?

Doesn't matter, Obama is dragging the dems so far down they won't be back for years.Did the choosing of Palin and her subsequent lying and ranting kill the credibility of the Republicans forever?
Palin was borne of an urge to claim up disenfranchised Hillary voters. Unfortunately for McCain and the rest of his party, no one issued an IQ test before the announcement. I think ultimately the GOP created a monster that they can't take back because she's so bat-sh!t insane that there's no stopping her. They say ';She's great!'; but in actuality they're hoping she just goes away. Polls show people think she's dumb, so I guess there's that. However, Mike Huckabee, a religious nut-bar, ranks far higher than her in most polls. That's probably more scary.Did the choosing of Palin and her subsequent lying and ranting kill the credibility of the Republicans forever?
It nearly killed the credibility of America in the eyes of the world!!!
It's been more of a group effort of late.
Not forever, but it's going to take the Republicans a long time to convince moderate voters that they're not a lunatic fringe.

The party let the far-right evangelicals define it for too long.
Unfortunately, their credibility will recover. Though I don't think they truly have any, but in the eyes of a lot of America, they do/did/will again.
Unfortunately 90 % of people of voting age have no idea what you are talking about. If they vote, it is for the best looking candidate. The memory of the Palin debacle has already faded from the Public mind.
Not forever. But it may have cost them the last election. Sarah Palin was a very poor choice for VP.
Lying and ranting are the foundations upon which the GOP was founded. I think she does a marvelous job upholding them. Palin 2012!
Lying is a skill, developed in politics...she is kind of new to it....there are those that are very skilled in each party. She should take so lessons...from the best...and that would be....?

I certainly hope so.
Yes and no. Bush started it, Palin finished it. Oh, there were some others involved in it, too; Fox News comes to mind.

Edit: this was in Yahoo! today. I suspect it has something to do with it, too: http://news.yahoo.com/s/politico/2009102鈥?/a>
Great doctors think alike.

I second what the Doctor said.
She was just dancing on the corpse of the Republican party.
